Independent information guide to workers’ representation in Uganda’s Parliament

Your information

Privacy & your data

This notice describes the information Workers Uganda Assistant stores and your choices.

What we collect

Your questions, assistant replies and answer source links are stored. After your first answer, the chat asks for your name, phone and email with consent. Contact fields and provider credentials are encrypted in the database. Authorized administrators can view contacts and conversations, export contacts, and send optional updates to contacts who opt in.

What goes to Google

Your question, up to ten recent chat messages and a short directory of relevant public reference links are sent to Google’s Gemini API. No indexed website text is required or sent. Answers use the model’s trained knowledge about Uganda and may be outdated; reference links are for checking current details. Contact-form fields are kept out of that request. Personal information typed directly in a chat message will be included. Google’s API terms apply; free-tier data may be used to improve Google’s products. Please avoid sharing private documents, ID numbers, passwords or financial details.

Optional SMS and email updates

Optional updates require a separate choice for each channel. Messages use Africa’s Talking for SMS and the operator’s configured SMTP provider for email; your phone number or email address and the message are shared with the corresponding provider. Update these choices here or use the unsubscribe link in a message.

Cookies and retention

A first-party cookie identifies this browser’s history for up to 180 days. A session cookie supports security and login. No advertising trackers are included. Inactive visitor records are retained for 180 days; the operator must schedule the included cleanup task. Queued campaign recipients are removed when their contact record is deleted.

Your choices

Delete this browser’s contact record and saved conversations below. Clearing cookies alone does not remove server records.

For other requests, contact wannspeter@gmail.com.

Sharing these details identifies your conversation with this site’s operator. It does not send a complaint to an MP, lodge a parliamentary petition, join a trade union or indicate political support. The operator does not infer political affiliation or trade-union membership from questions or contact details.
